We continue to look at heroes as we read of an unlikely situation in this novel by William Golding.  A group of children are stranded on a deserted island and must work together to survive.  But civilization breaks down and chaos sets in.

In addition, we will be focusing on the first three units of vocabulary, grammar, and essay writing to prepare you for the SATs and Regents next year.  There will also be an oral presentation given by each member of the class later this quarter.
